King’s Community – Gaborone

January 26, 2007

The Kings Community in Gaborone kicked off with a social evening at the Baptist Student Centre at the end of January, a good chance for different people who have been involved with the Kings Foundation or Kings Camps International to meet together and get to know each other. The idea of the Kings Community is to provide opportunity for likeminded people to come together to share ideas, for training in coaching skills, first aid, sports ministry etc and to provide support for each other as we seek to impact our local communities and develop children physically, emotionally and spiritually through sport.

The next Kings Community event in Gabs will be Church Without Walls on Saturday 10th March, a day of sport, worship and lots of fun. Put the date in your diaries and we’ll let you know more details of when and where very soon. We’re also hoping to run monthly socials where we can get together and play some sport and we’ll be organising one for the end of March or early April.

2007

January 25, 2007

In 2007 The King’s Foundation hopes to establish a community of like minded individuals who desire to see children developed through sport in Botswana. Hopefully this serves as another way for the community to stay connected over the coming years and helps facilitate various youth programmes throughout Botswana.
